Dining in the Restaurant Schlussel

Since 1998 Daniel and Gabrielle Aschwanden are the hosts at the Schlussel. The restaurant philosophy is simple and straight forward: «fresh, uncomplicated and good». We use exclusively fresh products like cheese from the neighbouring alps, locally produced spirits and meats from local farmers. The menus offered depend on the season, our guests desire as well as the daily changing mood of your host and chef, making it clear: «we serve what we have». You will not find a written menu in the restaurant Schlussel. The hosts will explain the menu at your table and recommend a selected wine. The ballroom was added to the main house in the year 1935. Initially it was especially used for the annual goat market. Over the years the ballroom in the Boutique-hotel Schlussel has become the heart of the house. After the last soft renovation it has more than ever proven to be the perfectly beautiful venue for unforgettable weddings, happy birthdays, lovely baptisms and holy communions, just as well as business dinners and conferences with the special touch.
The ballroom offers space for up to 50 guests and is an adaptable venue for various enjoyable celebrations. With stunning views to the alps and Lake Lucerne!
The beautiful hunter’s room can accommodate up to 10 guests. The hunters room shows the second passion of our host: hunting.
During the hunting season Daniel is in the forests, observing and looking out for deer and game. During this time the restaurant Schlussel is closed for dinner. The Boutique-hotel Schlussel is open throughout the year.
When Daniel is back in town, he prepares best game dishes and you better book your table early – as this is a well known speciality for Schlussel guests!
